2006 West Coast Regional Organizational Development Skills Building Training

Dear Colleagues:

Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team's (APAIT) Community Development and Research Department, in collaboration with our Capacity Building and Technical Assistance partner, Asian and Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) in San Francisco, invites you to attend a free-regional training titled: " What every Manager Needs to know about Harassment Prevention, Effective Communication, and Project Management" on Thursday and Friday, March 23 and 24, 2006 in West Hollywood, California.

The goal of this training is to strengthen organizational infrastructure and capacity of service to deliver and sustain more effective, high quality HIV/AIDS related services in your region. This training will provide participants with an opportunity to address immediate infrastructure needs that will assist to provide leadership and learning opportunities to individuals and organizations to achieve work related performance, improvement, and personal success.

During this 2 (two)-day training you will learn:

* Federal and California State Law Policy against Discrimination-AB-1825 (CA)
* Communication skills that can be applied to all situations clearly and tactfully
* Developing and implementing a project plan to achieve project goals

This training is for program staff with supervisory responsibilities. Applicants must clearly articulate how the proposed training topics will be integrated into your program operation. Travel and lodging will be provided to those who qualify. Space is limited.
