Rap Groups

Our rap groups are based on topics that are relevant and sensitive to the API MSM (men who have sex with men) population. The topics that we discuss can range from "Ideal Man" to issues concerning the rise in HIV infection in the Asian/Pacific Islander community. We usually keep it fun and friendly while being useful and informative. Our main goal in rap groups is to create a comfortable and safe forum for our clients to discuss issues relevant to them and the community.

The following are the rap groups that are conducted by APAIT OC staff:

Tofu Talk - A weekly rap group for gay/bi-sexual API men and their admirers in collaboration with The Center of OC. This takes place every Wednesday night from 8-10pm at 12900 Garden Grove Blvd., Suite 240A; Garden Grove, CA 92843.

Rice Dish - A bi-weekly rap group for API men and their admirers that happens every first and third Saturday of the month from 7-9pm. This rap group takes place at the Being Alive Long Beach offices at 500 East 4th St., Long Beach, CA 90802. Before you go out on Saturday, spend a little time with us.

Tinh Trai - Social group for Gay Vietnamese men.
